Learning & Development
My passion for learning and development began when I spent a year of my career working as a training designer and author. I subsequently returned to a client facing role and put my skills into practical use. I have since trained thousands of individuals, including inexperienced staff, middle management, HR teams and Board members/university governors, on a whole range of legal and HR issues.
My training and workshops are practical and tailored to meet the needs of your business and the learning outcomes you are seeking. I can provide training to individuals and small groups as well as larger groups, in person or remotely. I aim to communicate in a straightforward and jargon free way and bring issues to life by drawing on my experience of real life situations and cases. My training includes a mix of techniques to appeal to individuals' different learning styles and preferences.
Above all, I ensure that individuals leave my training session with relevant and useful skills and knowledge that they can take away and use in their work.
Examples of the type of training I can deliver:
- Discrimination including unconscious bias
- Performance management
- Managing sickness absence
- Disciplinary and grievance investigations
- Redundancy selection
- Collective consultation
- Employee representative workshops
